Building the right capacity and scale. Smartly.
Constructing one massive, centrally located processing plant and shipping our sugars broadly (the oil refinery model) will not meet the needs of our customers. Multiple regional or co-located on-site facilities will help our customers meet their needs more economically. Renmatix plants have a very small footprint and can compliment existing facilities at the lowest practical cost.
We can also customize the chemical transformation process depending on the abundantly available resources in that area. If located in Iowa, we can use corn cobs and stover. In Georgia, wood chips. In Asia, oil palm empty fruit bunches. Since our technology is biomass agnostic, customers do not have to incur significant transportation costs like they do with petroleum-based ingredients originating on the coasts, or overseas.
Our demonstration plant and Bioflex Conversion Unit prove scalability. Our operations in the Atlanta area validate the scalability of Plantrose technology, converting 3 dry tons/day of biomass to sugars, xylose and glucose sugars. Facilities outside of Philadelphia include our world tech center with advance analytical labs and production assets that function across multiple forms of plant material. Renmatix is working with multiple partners on development of commercial scale facilities with the capability to produce more than 100,000 tons per year of the cellulosic sugars that the bio-industrial revolution requires.
Renmatix is already the lowest cost route to cellulosic sugars. We will continue to reduce our costs as the Plantrose™ Process evolves to larger scale, and incorporates ongoing enhancements and R&D learnings.
