Dr. Doug Cameron has enjoyed a long and successful career in the biomarkets. He is well recognized in this industry for understanding the intersection of technology and commerce across the agriculture, chemical and fuels markets. Prior to leading many premier venture capital firms on their cleantech investments, Dr. Cameron was chief scientist and director of biotechnology at Cargill, Inc. Prior to Cargill, Doug was a professor of chemical engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he established a leading research laboratory in the areas of metabolic engineering and bioprocess technology.
Dr. Cameron graduated from Duke University with a BS in Biomedical Engineering and also earned a PhD in biochemical engineering from M.I.T. He is a fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), the Society of Industrial Microbiology (SIM) and the American Society for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Dr. Cameron will help Renmatix further deploy and commercialize its biotechnology process.
